Shannon and Luca’s elopement was nothing short of a dream. On a slightly overcast day, we made our way to their magical spot at Hog’s Back Park — a location we had thoughtfully selected together beforehand. For them, it was the perfect mix of water, scenery, and a hint of adventure.

Before the big day, we had visited the park to scout their ideal ceremony location and discovered a hidden gem tucked away from the main path. It wasn’t a hike, just a short walk from the falls — close enough to enjoy the sound of rushing water without it being too overpowering.

Shannon wore a beautiful non-traditional gown, and the pops of colour were absolutely stunning. Paired with a matching bouquet from Nectar Flowers Ottawa, the whole look came together effortlessly.

After their short and sweet — yet deeply heartfelt — ceremony, officiated by Sophie from Merry Fairy Officiants, the couple and their two guests made their way to a cozy picnic spot I had prepared for them in advance. Thankfully, the rain held off, allowing them to enjoy a relaxed and joy-filled afternoon surrounded by nature.
